There are mainly four processes within this training method: identify key actions; display model; provide practice time and apply the positive behaviour in job. The following steps indicate the program in details.
Introduction (45 minutes)
The trainer discuss training objective and highlight the key actions in the training program.
Share and discuss relevant experiences in using skill.
Skill development (2 hours)
Watch video and explaining the positive model in details.
Discuss the actions with trainees and help them to recognise both correct model and incorrect model.
Encourage trainees to participate in role plays in pairs and provide time to practice.
After the practice, it is necessary for trainees to receive feedback form observers and trainer on performance of key learning points.
Model application (1 hour)
Help participants create their own improvement goals.
Discuss and identify the appropriate situations to apply the skills they learned.
Identify the application of key behavior in real working environment.
The whole program will take around 4 hours, and it is suggested to take no less than 50% of the time on skill development.

Hints
The most important part in behavior training program is the resources of model. Live model is acceptable, but video tapes are more appropriate. There are two reasons to explain; first of all, the description of learning behavior can be standardized and accurate. The action can be redone until it reaches the desired consequence. Video tapes are reusable and reduce costs directly. While the application of live model needs to consider more, such as the space, some variations even some inappropriate actions. Another important factor of using video clip is because when trainees watching the video, they can catch the highlighted learning points. This can be down by trainers before the training sessions. Trainers can highlight significant points and inset explanation and description of the behavior. Even more, trainees can see the positive result and negative result at the same time. It can help trainees to learn more effectively when they can distinguish the desired results and inaccurate results. However, if trainers want to explain the same things with live model, it is not only hard to reach the same consequences, but also cost more.
